Marilyn Jordan Dearing, 80, of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.
Born in Mason County on April 23, 1944, her father was the late Elwood Jordan and her mother was the late Lelah Zornes Jordan.
Marilyn was a retired head teller for Peoples Bank. She was known for her care of others, whether cooking a meal, waiting on someone at the bank, or taking care of her family. She was a member of the Mount Carmel Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Kenny Dearing; her two daughters, Kelley Dearing Smith (husband Doug) and Leslie Ann Litzler; her four grandchildren, Katie Smith, Kortney Smith, Shelby Litzler, and Sadie Litzler; her great grandchild, Clayson Billings; and her brother, Jackie Jordan; along with many extended family members and friends.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Singer and Bro. Travis Roberts officiating.
Marilyn will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Jamie Higgins, Doug Smith, Wally Thomas, Kevin Litzler, Richard Black, and Marty Littleton.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
In place of flowers please consider a donation in memory of Marilyn to the Mount Carmel Christian Church and/or the charity of one's choice.
