Marjorie Frances Spencer Emmons, 85, of Flemingsburg, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at her daughter's residence.
Born on February 11, 1931, in Fleming County, she was a daughter of the late Curtis and Ella Dean Spencer.
Marjorie was retired from U.S. Shoe Factory in Flemingsburg after 27 years. She was a fan of U.K. Basketball and loved her flowers.
She is survived by six daughters, Karen (Jimmie) Davis of Elizabethtown, Joyce Emmons of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Judy (Billy) Frederick of Ewing, Cindy (Allan) Gayheart of Lexington, Martha Emmons of Houston, Texas, Barbara (Kent) Corbin of Flemingsburg; and one son, Darrell Emmons of Flemingsburg.
Marjorie is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, Kyle Davis, Jaimie Rector, Jason Frederick, Amanda Lasko, Brook Ulrich, Matthew Gayheart, Jeremy Gayheart, Erica Archibald, Katie Emmons, Mary Beth Corbin, Kendall Corbin, Christopher Corbin, and Cody Emmons.
Her 15 great grandchildren include Parker Davis, Quinton Davis, Tanner Davis, Kaylee Rector, Grayson Rector, Jake Gifford, Luke Ulrich, Ally Frederick, Landon Frederick, Liam Gayheart, Mason Gayheart, Chase Archibald, Nicole Archibald, Kristen Archibald, and Easton Emmons.
She is also survived by one sister, Phyllis (Jack) Smith of Columbia, Tennessee; and one brother, William A. (Emma) Spencer of Lexington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Farley; and a grandson, John Andrew Farley.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Herbie Stallard officiating. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Matthew Gayheart, Jeremy Gayheart, Christopher Corbin, Cody Emmons, Jason Frederick, Kyle Rector, and Chase Archibald.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Claire Hospice ( 222 Medical Circle, Morehead, Kentucky 40351).
