Marjorie V. McGinnis, 74, of Flemingsburg, passed away Thursday March 7, 2013 at Fleming County Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 3, 1939 in Fleming County to the late Glenn & Lela Vise.

Marjorie was retired from nursing after 40 years at Dr. Gehring's office, Fleming County Hospital and St. Claire Hospital. She was a member of the Victory Assembly of God Church in Flemingsburg.

Survivors include her husband Freddy McGinnis; Sons, James (Sonya) Royse and Oral "Rocky" (Crystal) Royse; Daughters Tracy (Patrick) Stanton, Jo Anna (Jackie Sweet) Colgan; 17 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren; a sister Juanita (Dick) Jamieson and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughters Michele Royse and Michele Kenley.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Monday March 11, 2013 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Joseph officiating . Burial will follow in Fleming County Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cancer Care Club of Flemingsburg (PO Box 189, Flemingsburg, KY 41041)
