Mark Lawson Flaugher, 71, passed away at his residence in Richmond, Kentucky on August 4, 2026.

Mark was born in Fort Thomas, KY on April 28, 1955. Mark was the twin son of the late Robert (Bob) and Edna Lawson Flaugher of Flemingsburg.

Mark graduated from Fleming County high school where he was a member of the class of 1974. He was an avid and very talented ball player in basketball, baseball, and softball. The basketball team of 1974 reached the honor of regional champs which qualified them to go to the state championship. That was a definitely a proud memory!

Mark was a “people person” with a charming personality and he earned the title of “Hollywood” among his classmates and peers. He loved attending the class reunions and didn’t miss many.

Mark is survived by his twin brother Mike Flaugher and wife Teresa, twin sisters, Pat Manning and Pam Burke. He also leaves behind nephews Tim (Alison) Manning, Todd (Sara)Manning, and nieces Shelley (Seth) Sadler, Shayla (Nehemiah) Dunn, and Mikala (Tommy) Flaugher Morton; great niece, Katy Manning, and great nephews Owen and Daniel Manning, Gabe and Brantley Sadler and Zeek Dunn.

Mark is preceded in death by his brother Gary, infant sister Karen, brothers-in-law Terry Manning and Larry Burke and an infant niece Sherra Burke.

Graveside services for Mark will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Fleming County Cemetery with Bro Tony Brewer officiating.

He will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery next to his dad and brother.
