Mark A. Fooks, 53, of Flemingsburg, husband of Patty Justice Fooks, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015 at University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Mark was born in Maysville, Ky., to the late William S. Fooks, Sr. and the late Betty J. Morgan Fooks.

Mark was retired from the United States Army, he served faithfully for 20 years, and retired as a Sergeant. He was of the Christian faith and had been baptized at Piqua Christian Church.

In addition to his wife he was also survived by daughters, Monica Rochelle Fooks and Sarah Bevins; sons, Joshwa (Sandra De Los Santos) Fugett and Adam Fooks; 8 grandchildren; one sister, Ellen (Tim) Marcum; three brothers, David (Deana) Fooks, Chris Fooks and Timmy Fooks; Army brother, Derrick McMillon; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and brother and sister-in-laws.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Glen & William S."Bill" Fooks, Jr.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home, by Bro. Greg Grimes, Derrick McMillon and Monica Fooks.

Burial will be in the May's Lick Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
