Martha "Marcy" Ellen Alexander McCord Grannis, 80, passed away Tuesday evening September 4, 2012 at Fleming County Hospital with her family by her side. She was born July 4, 1932 in Bourbon County to The late Omar B. and Emma Lee Boone Alexander. She was retired from the US Shoe Corporation in Flemingsburg. Marcy was a member of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church in Cowan, and attended Elizaville Christian Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands Clyde McCord and Bobby Grannis, her parents, a brother Omar B. Alexander Jr. and a sister Betty Boone Fryman.

Sons: Billy (Jackie) McCord of Ewing, KY
Gayle McCord of Cowan, KY

Grandchildren: Adam McCord, Dan McCord, and Kelsey McCord

Brother: Jimmy (Virginia Ann) Alexander of Bourbon County, KY

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday September 7, 2012 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Rich Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Gary Clyde McCord, Danny McCord, Johnny Wallingford, Dean Wallingford, James Rice & Bobby Eades. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lowry McCord, Ronald McCord, Eddie McCord, Russell McCord Jr., Charles Wallingford Jr., Donnie Story, Alex Alexander & Tyler Grannis.
