Mary Louise Manning went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2016

She was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on May 3, 1932 to the late Bascom and Electa Butcher.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Gobel, Leo and Woodrow Butcher and her sisters Jessie Basford, Thelma Dunaway and Opal Conley.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Raymond Garr Manning, her daughter Gladys and husband Terrence Bichsel, daughter Cindy and husband Terry Essex, grandson Jason and wife Josie Bichsel, grandson Matthew Essex and Grandson Ryan Essex. She is also survived by her brother Russie and his wife Lela Butcher.

Mary loved her family and enjoyed being with them. After living in Dayton for 41 years, Mary and Raymond moved back to Fleming County Kentucky, and lived there for several years. They both enjoyed their church home, Shiloh United Methodist Church and all their family and friends.

They both moved back to Dayton five years ago to be closer to their daughters and their families.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Thursday December 29, 2016 at Boone – Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Short officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 5-8 PM.

The graveside service will be at her temporary resting place at the Hillsboro Cemetery in Hillsboro, KY, until the trumpet sounds and these bodies are called up to meet our spirit to be ever with the Lord, Pastor Terry W. Essex officiating.
