Obituary

Mary Lucille "Sis" Schwartz, 93, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday evening January 7, 2015 at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home after an extended illness.

She was born May 18, 1921 in Fleming County to the late George Andrew and Mary Ester Tierney Schwartz.

Ms. Schwartz was a graduate of St. Patrick High School and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was a retired from Mers Brothers Department Store where she had been a clerk and had also worked at Fleming County Hospital as a nurses aid.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews Ann Hendrix, Pauline Carr, Jimmy Schwartz, Mary Jane Scaggs, Kathy Earlywine, Bonnie Porter, David Schwartz, John Schwartz, Karen Jones, Charles Schwartz & Anita Illingworth; surviving sister-in-law Lena Schwartz; special friends Jackie & Butch Storey; several great and great great nieces and nephews.

Ms. Schwartz was preceded in death by her parents and three brother George, Paul and Tommy Schwartz.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday January 10, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Maysville, KY by the Rev. John Michniuk celebrant, with burial to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. At the request of Ms. Schwartz there will be no visitation. Boone - Nickell Funeral Home is caring for all arrangements for Ms. Schwartz.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Patrick Catholic Church (110 E. Third St. Maysville, KY 41056) or St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (211 Mt. Carmel Ave Flemingsburg, KY 41041).
