Matthew Scott "Matt" Cassidy, 50, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Fleming County Hospital.

Born in Sacramento, California on April 29, 1975, Matt is the son of Malcolm and Darlene St. Clair Cassidy.

Matt worked as a truck driver for West Side, Barr-Nunn, Toyo, Warner, and International Paper.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and riding his motorcycle.

In addition to his mom and dad, Matt is survived by his loving wife, Anisa Elizabeth Reeves Cassidy; his six children, twins Austin Matthew (Cheyanne) Cassidy and Christian Scott (Cassandra) Cassidy, Haley Claire Cassidy, Michael James Boschert, Corey James Boschert, and Savannah Faith Boschert; his five grandchildren, Octavia, Owen, Emma, Easton, and Church; his mother-in-law, Thelma Jones; his brother-in-law, Josh (Jessica) Reeves; his four nieces, Nichole, Raylyn, Kendra Grace, and Gia; his nephew, Gabriel; along with many extended family members and friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Carol Cassidy Lofton; his paternal grandparents, Malcolm Sr. and Pauline Cassidy; and his maternal grandparents, James and Mildred St. Clair.

The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2025, at New Creation Praise and Worship Center located at 1431 Helena Road, Flemingsburg, Kentucky 41041 with  Bro. Stoney  Hamilton officiating.

Pallbearers include Corey Boschert, Gabe Lofton, Austin Cassidy, Christian Cassidy, Anthony Hamilton, and Travis Carpenter.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 12 p.m. on Friday, at the church.
