Melissa Ann McCray, 43, of Elizabethtown, passed away early Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at her residence.

Born in Morehead, Ky. on September 3, 1976, she was the daughter of Samuel Pugh and Debbie Reed Pugh, and Cynthia Durham Marshall Harper.

Melissa was a loving mother, wife, and daughter.  She worked as a nurse's aide.  She was of the Christian faith.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Floyd McCray; her children, Dahlton Curtis McCray, Dylan Lee McCray, Mahayla Ann McCray, and Makayla Dawn McCray; and her parents.  She is also survived by her siblings, Travis Pugh, Aaron Lunsford, Christopher Marshall, Luishia Simmons, Becky Hickerson, Amy Harper Hawk, and Amanda Harper Soh; her grandmothers, Patsy Pugh and Betty Reed; along with several extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her two grandfathers, James S. Pugh and James W. Reed; her grandmother, Nola Jones; along with several extended family members.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Hickerson and Bro. David Hickerson officiating.

Melissa will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be noon until 2 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.

In compliance with state mandate, masks are required for those in attendance.
