Michael “Mike” Thomas Hamm, 62, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at his residence.

Born in Fleming County on December 24, 1963, he was the son of the late Carol Thomas “Pete” Hamm and the late Betty Arnold Hamm.

Mike was a farmer who had worked for Davenport Farm Supply, a finish carpenter for Hamm Construction for 29 years in Lexington. He attended Battle Run Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Verdina Maze Hamm; his two sons, Chris (Betty) Hamm and Chad Hamm; his three grandchildren, Karla Hamm, Tiffany Hamm, Thomas Hamm.

In addition to his mother Betty and his father Pete, Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Carrie Hamm; and his sister, Linda Gooding.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Mineer officiating.

Mike will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Caleb Grimes, Robbie Logan, Eric Logan, Jason Curtis, Leonard Burke, and Mike High.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., on Saturday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
