Monnie Cleora Rigdon Elter, 84, of Wallingford, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the UK  Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.  She was the widow of Ronald Edward "Ron" Elter.

Born in Fleming County on July 5, 1940, her father was the late Frank Rigdon and her mother was the late Ruby Thomas Rigdon.

Monnie is survived by her four children, Ronald L. (Tammy) Elter, Debra L. Grice, John E. Elter, and Anna M. Elter; her ten grandchildren, Chelsea, Aaron, Sarah, Mark, Keisha, Christina, Samantha, K.C., Chantell, and Gracie;  and her 13 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by two of her siblings, Doug Rigdon and Wilma (Richard) Smalley; along with many extended family members, and friends.

In addition to her husband Ron who passed in November 2023, her mother Ruby and her father Frank, Monnie was preceded in death by six of her siblings, Marion Rigdon, Lonnie Rigdon, Ilene Young, Bill Rigdon, Johnny Rigdon, and Carol Hosier.

The memorial service will begin at 12 noon, Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 12 p.m., Saturday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
