Nancy Nell Cooper Powell, 79, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016. She was the widow of Robert Powell, Sr.

Born September 5, 1937, in Poplar Plains, she was a daughter of the late Enos L. and Nettie Honea Cooper.

Nancy was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her family, she was a retired florist. She was a longtime member of the Flemingsburg Christian Church.

She is survived by her son, Robbie Powell (Myke) of Salt Lick; grandchildren, Robbie Powell III, Devin Copher, Mykaylee Copher, Sadara Copher, Elias Copher, Joshua Copher-Powell; and great grandson, Greyson Powell. She is also survived by her sisters, Laura Denton of Flemingsburg and Joyce Fischer of Cold Springs; a special niece, Nancy Denton Ray; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Glenn Cooper, Joseph Franklin Cooper, Lawton Cooper, and Warner Ray Cooper.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Dickerson Cemetery in Salt Lick, KY.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
