Nancy Elizabeth Soister, 81, of Wallingford, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.  She was the widow of Homer Soister, Jr.

Born in Maysville on December 6, 1942, her father was the late Stanley Smitson and her mother was the late Olive Royce Smitson.

Nancy was a dedicated mother and grandmother.  She was a farmer and homemaker who supported wildlife rehabilitation and loved animals.

She is survived by three of her children, Ernie Soister and his wife Felicia, Mike Soister and his wife Paula, and Estella Logan and her husband Willard; her nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great, great grandchildren; extended family members and friends.

In addition to her husband Homer who passed in 2022, and her parents Stanley and Olive, Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Ayers; and her two siblings, Ramona Ruggles and Juanita McCall.

The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Shawn Meade officiating.

Nancy will be laid to rest in Maysville Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Ernie Soister, Mike Soister, Christian Soister, Willard Logan, Kyle Soister, Jamie Soister, and Justin Logan.  Honorary pallbearers include Verdel Meade, Shawn Soister, and Eric Soister.

Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 12 p.m., Tuesday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
