Nathan Joseph Purcell, 76, of May's Lick, passed away Thursday morning February 2, 2012 at Fleming County Hospital. He was born June 24, 1935 in Mason County to the late George and Laura Purcell. He had been a life long farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Melvin, Tom, Howard Purcell, and a sister Audrey Tumey.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years Shirley Mae Kidder Purcell

Great Grandchildren: Sydney & Austin Emmons of Ewing, KY

Brother: John Purcell of May's Lick, KY

Sisters: Alberta Tumey and Sarah Jane Barker of Maysville

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Monday February 6, 2012 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Fouch officiating. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 9 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John Hedger, Billy & Zachary Plummer, Ronnie Littleton, Randy Miller, R.J. Latham.
