Obituary

Nellie Mae Sloas, 99, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home. She was the widow of Hollie Sloas.


Born on July 16, 1918, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Fannin and Sarah Adkins.


Nellie is survived by her brother, Arlis Adkins, Jr.; several nieces, nephews, family members and special family members, Evelyn Hyer and Alice Hinton.


In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.


Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, January 20th, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fleming County Cemetery.


Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Pioneer Trace Nursing Home (115 Pioneer Trace, Flemingsburg, Kentucky 41041) and/or Fleming County Cemetery Fund (C/O Peoples Bank, 106 South Main Cross Street, P.O. Box 307, Flemingsburg, KY 41041).
