Oakley Elizabeth Bryant, 91, passed away Thursday evening December 26, 2013 at Fleming County Hospital after an extended illness.

Oakley was born April 9. 1922 in Fleming County to the late James B. and Margaret McIntyre.

Oakley was retired from the housekeeping department at Fleming County Hospital after 25 years of service. Oakley often commented how she loved to go to work at the hospital it was one of her favorite things being around the people and helping make their day brighter. She loved cooking for her family, sewing and reading. Oakley was also a basketball player in her high school days playing on the all-girls team at Fleming County High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Thomas Bryant and a brother Estill "Capp" McIntyre.

Survivors include three daughters Judy (Steve) Gardner, Beverly Smoot and Sharon (Sam) Landreth; grandchildren Darryl (Chasity) Gardner, Stephanie (Kerry) Bratcher, Jason (Misty) Gardner, Amy (Chris) Jones, Haley (Brandon) Figgins and Nathan Landreth; great grandchildren: Bryce, Gavin, Dara, Tristian and Kylar Gardner, Taylor and Tanner Weaver, Seth and Ty Gardner, Trevor and Carson Jones and Paige Figgins.

Funeral services will be at 1PM Monday December 30, 2013 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Herbie Stallard officiating. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
