Opal Marie Little Spence, 97, of Wallingford, passed away Monday June 9, 2014 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe.

Opal was born April 27, 1917 in Gauley Bridge, W.V. to the late Robert Jones and Mary Mae Nickels.

Opal was a loving mother whose main focus in life was her family she loved to take care of them. If you visited Opal she was always prepared to cook a meal for you. She was a member of the Wallingford Community Church.

Survivors include her children Robert Little, Luther Little, Sam (Mae) Little, Clyde Little, Bina (Tubby) Spencer, Wilma (Rusty) Evans and John (Brenda) Little; 14 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; daughter in law Violet Little; several half siblings.

Opal was preceded in death by her husband's James Little and Oran Spence; parents Robert (Carrie) Jones and Mary Mae (Robert) Lawson; 2 sons Ernie and Paul Albert Little; daughters in law Shirley and Annette Little.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Thursday June 12, 2014 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Arnold Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Bald Point Cemetery on Laurel in Lewis County. Visitation will be 6 - 9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

James Spencer, Brian Spencer, Matt Evans, JJ Little, Tyler Toller, Sammy McGraw, Mike Little and Donald Burchett will serve as pallbearers.
