Orvel "Jack" Vice, 90, of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday morning, June 1, 2019, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe.
Born on August 11, 1928, in Bath County, he was the son of the late Arthur Morris Vice and the late Hester Jackson Vice.
Jack was the former owner/operator of the Elizaville Service Station for 25 years, a truck driver for Carnation Milk and a longtime farmer. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War with one year of overseas duty.
Survivors include his brother, Ewell Vice and wife Shirley of Flemingsburg; his sister-in-law, Wanda Vice of Ewing; his 21 nieces and nephews; along with several extended family members.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lucille Vice; his parents; his six brothers; Alvin, Elgin, Floyd, Gano, G.T. and G.C. Vice; and his three sisters; Leona Duffy, Viola Richards & Geneva Vice.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, at Boone – Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. James Hickerson officiating.
Jack will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834.
Pallbearers include Terry Vice, Steve Vice, Larry Buzzard, Gerald Vice, Danny Vice, Rickey Vice, and Lonnie Vice.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope (909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056).
