Patricia "Patti" Thomas Brown, 65, of Ewing, passed away, Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Saint Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.

Patti was born February 1, 1950, in Maysville, a daughter of the late O.B. Thomas and Virginia Byron Thomas.

Patti was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a gifted artist and painter. For 26 years she was a Language Arts and Drama Teacher at Ewing Elementary and Simons Middle School. After retirement Patti volunteered endless hours at Simons Middle School and the Fleming County Public Library.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, W.T. Brown; children, Melynda (Brett) Lacy of Portsmouth, OH, Kara Brown of St. Petersburg, FL, and Tricia (Clay) Coston of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Hayden Lacy and Riley Coston; sister, Cathy Thomas of Morehead, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015, at the Flemingsburg Christian Church with the Rev. Peter Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the church.

Active pallbearers will be Steve Brown, Bill Brown, Daryl Grannis, Bob Canada, Chuck Brown and Tony Case.

Boone-Nickell Funeral Home is caring for the arrangements for Mrs. Brown.
