Paul Thomas Reid, Sr., 80, of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe.

Born in Fleming County on March 9, 1939, Paul was the son of the late Mary Davis Kissick.

Paul loved to go out to eat, trips to the Smoky Mountains, as well as watching Reds Baseball and UK Basketball.  He was a retired business owner.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Paul is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Manley Reid; his son, Paul Thomas "Tommy" Reid, Jr., and wife, Amanda; and his grandchildren, Ashton T. Reid, Christen Reid, and Seth Fogleman.  He is also survived by his brothers, Bill Reid, Jerry Kissick, and Francis Kissick; his sisters, Ann Hendren and Jean Reid; his special nieces, Karen Hendren and Heather Kissick Jones; and his special canine friend, Chigger.

In addition to his mother Mary, he was preceded in death by his sister, Winnie Dutton;  his brother, James Colliver Reid; and a special nephew, Bobby Ray Kissick.

Funeral will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Boling and Bro. Danny Howard officiating.

Paul will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery.  Military rites will be performed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834.

Pallbearers include Jimmy Jett, Doug Swim, Randy Crump, Barry Hamm, Clay Pollitt, Rocky Hunt, Ricky Crump, and Larry "Bush" Muse.

Visitation will be 10 a. m., until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
