Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" Bruner, 86, of Flemingsburg, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville. She was the widow of Harold Dean Bruner.
Born in Rowan County on September 7, 1936, her father was James S. Caudill and her mother was Gracie Brown Caudill. She was raised by Arthur and Bessie Caudill.
Peggy was a homemaker and co-owner of Bruner Building Supply with her husband Harold. She was a member of the Flemingsburg Baptist Church where she was very active and loved her church.
She is survived by her son, Arthur Wayne Bruner and wife Paula of Flemingsburg; her daughter, Tammy Carol Bruner of Carlisle; her three grandchildren, Jerome Paul Bruner and wife Brandie, Jordan Dean Bruner, and James Malachi Bean; her great grandchild, Paislee Bruner. She is also survived by her two sisters, Zelda Wright and Martha Lowe; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to her husband Harold and her mother and father, Peggy was preceded in death by her daughter, Melinda Bruner; her five siblings, Denver, Elmo Dockie, Bill, Ollie, and Lacey Caudill.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Flemingsburg Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Grimes, Bro. Trent Keeton, and Bro. Jerry Boling officiating.
Peggy will be laid to rest in the Fleming County Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Jerome Bruner, Jordan Bruner, Wayne Bruner, Malachi Bean, Jimmy Berry, and Jeff Vice. Honorary pallbearers include Willy Conn, Johnny Conn, Gene Lowe, Danny Caudill, Ronnie Caudill, Jeff Caudill, Mark Rothenstein, Johnny Mouser, Phillip Mouser, Jerry Mouser, Freddy Mouser, Roy Bruner, Jerry Boggs, Lynn Brown, Randy Robinson, Eula Skaggs, and Priscilla Ashley.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the church located at 1856 Elizaville Road, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
