Quentin Charles Black, 35, of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, in Houston, Texas.

Born in Morehead on December 30, 1990, he was the son of Charles Black and Patricia O’Bannon Black.

In addition to his mother Patricia and his father Charles, Quentin is survived by four of his siblings, Brandy Sapp, James Powell, Gina Sholars, and Casey Hill; his nephew and three nieces, Jeremy Powell, Jennifer Powell, Melissa Powell, and Destiny Powell. He is also survived by his four uncles, Troy Hurst, Bill McCormick, James Hurst, and Tim Hurst; along with many extended family members and friends.

Quentin was preceded in death by his brother, Andy Sapp; and his paternal grandmother, Clara Black.

A service for Quentin will be planned for a later date.
