Obituary

Randy Nelson Vice, 67, of Flemingsburg, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington.


Born in Maysville on October 17, 1957, Randy was the son of the late Charles Mansfield Vice and the late Ruby Katherine "Qubie" Emmons Vice.


Randy worked in construction and enjoyed hunting.


He is survived by his daughter, Kristy Horb and her three children.  He is also survived by his siblings, Larry G. (Phyllis) Vice, Joan Marie Vice Story, Janie Parker, Terry Scott Vice, Donna Jean Vice, Betty Frances Long, Billy J (Mary) Vice, Marty D. Vice, Doug A. Vice, and Linda K. (Everett) Johnson; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.


In addition to his mother Ruby and his father Charles, Randy was preceded in death by two of his siblings, Joyce Ann Nolen and Thomas Estill Vice; and his two brothers-in-law, Gordon Long and Bob Parker.


The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m., Monday, August 25, 2025, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Sister Gail Skaggs officiating.


Visitation will be 5 p.m., until the hour of service at 7 p.m., Monday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
