Richard Thomas "Tommy" Gulley 1st , 77, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville. Tommy was born April 24, 1938, at Muses Mills in Fleming County, to the late Jessie R. and Mary Smalley Gulley. Tommy was owner of Tommy Gulley's Plumbing, Heating & Wiring for 30 years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven sisters, Mamie Swim, Alma Muse, Reda Helphenstine, Flora Rice, Naoma Beckett, Bea Rice, and Freida Helterbrand. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ellen Eldridge Gulley; two sons, Richard (Nancy) Gulley and Rusty Gulley, both of Flemingsburg; five grandsons, Richie Gulley, Eric Gulley, Riley Gulley, David (Andy) Carrington, and Justin Carrington; four great grandsons, Taten, Bryson, Gage and Kye Carrington; two sisters, Aline Sellers and Nina Hopper; three brothers, Tracy Gulley, Paul Gulley, and Billy Gulley; and a very special niece, Peggy Miller. A Celebration of Life will be announced at later date. Boone- Nickell Funeral Home is caring for all arrangements for Mr. Gulley.
