Richard McCord, 67, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020, at UK Medical Center.

Richard was born on March 15, 1953 in Dayton, OH to the late William Houston and Glenna Ellen Voorhees McCord.

Richard was a longtime employee of Halliburton in Houston, TX before coming back to Kentucky and becoming a journeyman plumber for several years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Naval Construction Battalion better known as the Seabees.

Survivors include his son, Ben McCord of Irving, TX; his fiancé, Ramona Graham of Flemingsburg; his siblings, Tenisa Turner and husband Jeff of Houston, TX and David McCord; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Bill McCord and wife Emma; and his sister, Karen Schwartz.

Services are being privately cared for by Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.  Richard will be laid to rest in Sunnyside cemetery.
