Robert William Hayden, 85, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.

Born in Owingsville on November 14, 1938, his father was the late Russell Hayden and his mother was the late Sallie Foley Hayden.

Robert worked for A. O. Smith as a line inspector for 33 years.  He was a member of the Morning Star Baptist and attended the Strawberry United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Graham Hayden; two of his children, Angela Taul and Justin (SoFenia) Taul all of Winchester, his daughter-in-law, Monique Hayden; his six grandchildren, Tyrell (Laura) Hayden, Domonique (Sydney) Hayden, Corey Rogers, Sylan Mayes, Syrus Mayes, and Qua Lewis; his four great grandchildren, Ava Hayden, Asher Hayden, Dottie Hayden, and Natalia Rogers; along with many nieces, nephews, a host of extended family members, and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Sallie; two of his sons, Lance Hayden and Lamar Hayden; and his sister, Zonia Hayden.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Taylor officiating.

Visitation will be 12 noon, until the hour of the service at 1 p.m., Monday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.

Honorary pallbearers include Tyrell Hayden, Domonique Hayden, Qua Lewis, Sylan Mayes, Corey Rogers and Syrus Mayes.  Additional honorary pallbearers include Lamar Hayden, Lance Hayden, Reed Fugate, Tommy Hodge, Ernie Lopez, and Terry Taul.
