Owen Roger Jolley, 78, of Flemingsburg, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024.

Born in Fleming County on December 16, 1945, he was the son of the late Johnnie and Pearlie Wiggins Jolley.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.  On June 17, 1966, he married the love of his life, Euwilla Prater Jolley.  Roger worked at US Shoe and he proudly served as Fleming County Magistrate for District 2 for 8 years. He enjoyed serving the Fox Valley and Goddard community as a store owner.   His true passion was farming.

Roger was a loving family man and is survived by his wife of 57 years, Euwilla Prater Jolley; his three children, Timmy Jolley, Marlene Vice, and Charlene Hall and her husband Jimmy. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Carlee Jolley Fry and her husband Dalton, Austin Vice and his wife Kayla, Ashton Hall and his fiancé Shelby Moran, Alexa Vice Copher and her husband Chris,Peyton Hall, Lauralee and Ricky Swartz. He is also survived by his five precious great grandchildren, Owen and Oliver Fry, Kash and Banks Hall, and Caseton Copher.   He is also survived by his sister, Patsy Pugh.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his great grandson, Cranston Ray Copher, his daughter-in law, Traci Jolley Swartz; and his mother-in law, Colleen Ellington.  He is also preceded in death by his five brothers, Lloyd, Riley, Dudley, Emery, and Waverly Jolley; and three of his sisters, Eva Duncan, Adelene Sapp, and Joy Mitchell.

The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with   Bro. Doug Reeves, Bro. Randy Fritz, and Bro. Randy Taylor officiating.

Roger will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
