Roger Allen Sapp, 73, of 6525 Mt. Sterling Rd., Tilton, KY went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 19, 2013. Roger was the son of the late Lee and Gladys Gallagher Sapp. He is also proceeded in death by a brother, Rodney Michael Sapp.
Roger was a member of Olive Branch Christian Church. He loved the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and really took pride in growing his beautiful flowers. He also enjoyed making his famous chili for his family and friends.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 13 A½ years, Ruth Sapp, his five children, Rick (Becky) Sapp of Richmond, IN, Dennis Sapp of Bluffton, IN, Lisa (Jeff) Shannon of Modoc, IN, Tony (Debbie) Sapp of Flemingsburg, KY and Phillip (Mary) Sapp of Cayauga, IN, his 3 step children, Larry (Renee) Gray of Hillsboro, KY, Terry (Jenny) Gray of Tollesboro, KY, and Janet (Brian) Kinney of Vanceburg, KY, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Ralph (Callie) Sapp of Flemingsburg, KY, Randy Sapp of Mt. Sterling, KY, and Ronald (Shirley) Sapp of Muncie, IN and one sister, Connie Stacy of Flemingsburg, KY.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 23 at the funeral home with Bro. Clay Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday at the Boone - Nickell Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Brian Sapp, Jeremy Sapp, Dewayne Gray, Shawn Shannon, Josh Shannon, Brandon Thomas, Dusty Sapp, Hank Sapp, and D.J. McCall.
