Ronald Clayton Johnson, 73, of Ewing, passed away suddenly Wednesday June 11, 2014 at his home.

Ronald was born July 30, 1940 in Fleming County to the late Orville and Nannie Harris Johnson.

Ronald was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Ronald was a meat cutter for 50 years, he worked at Lakewood Foodtown, Ron's IGA in Vanceburg and Save A Lot in Flemingsburg.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years Judy Rice Johnson; daughters Valerie Hurst and Connie (Dwight) Allen; grandchildren Christian Hurst, Noah Hurst, Brian (Jamie) Allen, Adam (Cathy) Allen, Amber (Derrick) Allen and Ashley (Jason) Mynear; 12 great grandchildren; sisters Wanda Dean (Tom) Buchannan, Doris (Carl) Bays, Barbara (Dennis) Vice and Teresa Florence.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Christa Johnson, grandson Alexander Hurst, son -in-law Ashley Hurst and brothers Bob and Larry Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Monday at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Mark Bays, Danny Lewis, Steve Buchanan, Marion Buchanan, Jeff Johnson and Chad Webb will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers Brian Allen, Adam Allen, Christian Hurst and Noah Hurst.
