Ronald Dean Owens, 77, of Flemingsburg, passed away unexpectedly Friday August 18, 2017 at Fleming County Hospital.

Ronald was born on May 27, 1940 in Mason County to the late Davis and Ruby Gulley Owens.

Ronald had worked as a truck driver for Harts Dairy of Ft. Myers Florida and Aberdeen Express and after retirement had driven a school bus for Licking Valley Pre-School. Ronald was an avid UK fan, outdoors man who loved to fish. He also had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews along with the rest of his family.

Survivors include his wife of 8 years Betty Owens; step- daughter Karen and husband Bill Corey of Sebastian, FL along with her son Brandon Cain; siblings Jacki and husband James Hamm of Aberdeen, OH, Donnie and wife Karen Owens , Terry and wife Sis Owens and Eva and husband Danny Johnson all of Dayton, OH and Dean Owens; Ronald was an uncle to Jason Grayson of Aberdeen, OH, Sonia Owens of Dayton, OH, Stacie McGriff of Columbus, OH and Danny Johnson; and two special nieces Peyton and Reagan Grayson.

Graveside services will be at 11 AM Thursday August 24, 2017 at Wedonia Cemetery with Br. Mason Harrod officiating.

Boone – Nickell Funeral Home is caring for all arrangements for Mr. Owens.
