Rosa Nellie Johnson, 82, of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday morning August 31, 2013 at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home.

She was born July 2, 1929 in Rowan County to the late James L. & Renie Roberts Thompson. Mrs. Johnson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother & grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband Matt Johnson, her parents and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children Diane Greene, Floyd (Sandy) Johnson, Brenda (Jesse) Niece, Marilyn (Bobby) Hilterbrand, Ronnie (Brenda) Johnson, Danny (Shirley) Johnson and Nancy Reeves; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Gracie Darrah, Mamie McDonald.

Graveside services were held at 4 PM Saturday August 31, 2013 at Muses Mills Cemetery with Rev. Jesse Hickerson officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Boone - Nickell Funeral Home.
