Rose Lee "Rosie" Story, 67, of Flemingsburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at her residence with family and friends by her side.

Born March 12, 1949, in Fleming County, Rosie was the daughter of the late Nolan Lee and Hattie Miller Story.

Rosie was a local hairdresser for over 40 years. She cooked at the VFW for many years and was a Kentucky Colonel.

She is survived by her son, Scott (Jenna) Yarbrough of Waynesville, N.C.; grandchildren, Knox and Nina Yarbrough; brother, Fredrick (Barb) Wade of West Liberty; sisters, Patti Bryant, Ida Hinton, Judy (Ronnie) Little, and Jean Mattox, all of Flemingsburg; aunt, Bonnie Miller; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Sparky.

In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Lee "Tiny" Story; her son, Darrell Story; and a brother, Lewis Wade.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Parkey Thompson and Tracy Glascock officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery (Mount Tabor Cemetery).

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Don Latham, Billy Joe Denton, Ronnie Helphenstine, Raymond Pollitt, Paul Pollitt, Richard Little, and Larry Napier.
