Rosemary Comiskey Dobson, 81 of Maysville, passed away Wednesday December 10, 2014 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe after an extended illness
Rosemary was born in Cleveland, Ohio September 9th, 1933 into a wonderful Irish family that knew how to love and cherish each other. She grew up there attending many gatherings with aunts, uncles and cousins that would cultivate a tradition of strong family ties. She met John Dobson and fell in love and on January 16, 1954 they were married. Through the years they brought seven children into the world who through an environment of love, mixed with the right amount of discipline, became successful caring individuals. The gatherings still continue and it is said that when the Dobsons get together, a good time will be had by all!! Brought up in the Catholic faith and sharing it with her children has always been a major inspiration in her life. Rosemary leaves a legacy of unconditional love to those close to her and fond memories to thousands. She will always be loved and remembered by her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband John of Maysville; children Rita (Jim) Marshall and John (Margaret) Dobson both of Sylvania, OH, Ed (Anne) Dobson of Portland, OR, Dan (Molly) Dobson of Louisville, KY, Steve (Charlotte) Dobson of Maysville, Paul (Michele) Dobson of Bowling Green, OH and Charles (Lisa) Dobson Lambertville, ,MI; 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchild; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents James A. & Marie Comiskey.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:10 AM Saturday December 13, 2014 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church by the Rev. John Michniuk celebrant, with burial to follow in Fleming County Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 PM Friday with Vigil Prayers for the Deceased at 5:45 PM at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home.
In lieu of gifts or flowers the family requests that a donation be made to the Maysville Hospice of Hope.
