Ruby McKee, 84 of Flemingsburg passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Fleming County Hospital. She was born September 9, 1928 in Fleming County daughter of the late Arthur Ishmael & Emma Stephens Ishmael.

Ruby worked for the US Shoe Corporation for 27 years before her retirement, and then enjoyed being a product demonstrator at local variety and grocery stores

Mrs. McKee enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 6 Brothers; Lloyd "Dick Ishmael, Curtis Ishmael, Otis Ishmael, Andy Ishmael, Brooks Ishmael and Wood Ishmael, Two Sisters; Annalee Boling and Hazel Ishmael.

She is survived by her loving husband Elwood McKee, One Son; Steve (Debbie) McKee, One Daughter; Donna (Jimmy) Hitch, One Grandson; Brian (Vinessa) Hitch, One Great Grandson; Xachary Hitch, Two Step-Grandchildren Matt Story and Shawna (Joe) Gibson, 4 Step-Great Grandchildren; Carter Story, Haley Gibson, Aubrey Gibson and Chloe White, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 PM, on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Brother Bob Ray and Brother Jerry Boling officiating, Interment will follow in the Wallingford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 9 PM on Thursday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wallingford United Methodist Church.
