Ruby Douglas Williams Saunders, 96, formerly of Fleming County, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015, in New Carlisle, Ohio.

Mrs. Saunders was born December 12, 1918, in Fleming County, Kentucky, a daughter of Leonard Thomas and Ura Porter Williams. She was married to the late Elmer Thomas Saunders.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Thomas(Joan Rae) Saunders of New Carlisle, OH, Phyllis Ann (Ronald) Braun of Urbana, OH, Jelana Ruth Saunders of Bellbrook, OH, and Melinda Jill (Jim) Blessing of Springfield, OH; 9 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and sisters, Mamie Peck and Mary Ruth Meta; special family friend Emma Sue Noland.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Matthew Thomas Saunders; a brother, Leonard Thomas Williams; and a sister, Josie Harmon.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Fleming County Cemetery with the Rev. Peter Morgan officiating.
