Ruby W. Slaton, 99, of Flemingsburg, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home.

Born in Fleming County on February 22, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Harlan Tuel and the late Mary Weddle Tuel.

Ruby was a housekeeper for a hotel chain and also worked for an envelope factory in Ohio.  She was also a longtime member of the Flemingsburg Church of Christ.

She is survived by her sister Anna Fyffe and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Connie Clyde Slaton who passed away in 1972, and her 10 other siblings.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Garrett officiating..

Ruby will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Boone-Nickell.
