Scottie Lee “Scoot” Bratcher Jr., 40, passed away at his residence on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Scoot was born in Louisville, Ky. on June 24, 1986, he was the son of the late Scottie Lee Bratcher Sr. and the late Teresa Kim Childers Bratcher.

Scoot is survived by his sister, Courtney Layne Bratcher of Flemingsburg; his niece, Zoey Layne Jones; and his nephews, Joseph Adam Jones Jr. and Jones Phoenix Tillery; his brother & best friend, Tyler Mitchell; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many extended family and friends.

Scoot was preceded in death by his parents Scottie and Kim.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced later.
