Sherlene Berry Ellis, 70, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021, at her residence.

Born in Fleming County on November 20, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. Berry and the late Jennie Elizabeth Coleman Gilmore.

Sherlene is survived by her children, Patricia E. "Pat" Compton and Clarence Lee Compton, Jr.; her grandchildren, Jabreh Compton, D. Compton, Keti S. Compton, Jazzmine Compton, Zhane Compton, and Moses Compton ; her great grandchild, Khavary T. Compton.  She is also survived by her siblings, Charles "Chick" (Toni) Berry and Sabrena (Jerry) Holman; her nephews and niece, Chad, Gabriel, and Chelsea; and   the father of her children, Clarence Lee Compton, Sr.

A memorial service will begin at 6 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Flemingsburg.  Visitation will begin at 5 p.m.
