Shirley L. Davidson, age 92, passed away on Sunday, 7/23/2017, after complications following a fall.

Shirley was born on 3/26/1925 in Annapolis, Maryland.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John; her parents; and her three sisters.

She leaves behind her daughter, Susan (David) Elkow of Hebron, Kentucky; her son, Richard (Charmaine) Davidson of Naples, Florida; her grandchildren, Danielle Davidson, Ryan Elkow, and Darren Elkow of Texas and Lisa Davidson; her two great-granddaughters, Kylie and Kayden Elkow of Texas, and her caring extended family, Neal and Karen Morgan of Roselle.

Shirley and John were residents and active in the community life of Naperville, IL for many years. They were long-time members of First Congregational Church, and volunteered regularly at the Naperville Humane Society. After, sadly, suffering a stroke several years ago, Shirley lived in Lexington, Kentucky. Shirley loved gardening, dogs, her neighbors, and, especially, bridge—playing regularly up until the end of her life. Although not known for her culinary skills, she really enjoyed all kinds of cuisine and was always known for having a kitchen drawer dedicated to chocolate. Shirley was a proud and dignified lady who will bedeeply missed.

Per Shirley's wishes, there will be a private graveside service conducted by her daughter, Reverend Susan Elkow.
