Obituary

Sonia Kay Leet, 81, of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Fleming County Hospital.  She was the widow of Robert J. Leet.


Born in Fleming County on September 11, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Owens Hinton "Bud" Lytle and the late Priscilla "Mickey" Williams Lytle.


Sonia worked for eight years in the Property Valuation Administrator (PVA) office in Fleming County.  She went on to work in bookkeeping for Litton's Ford for 26 years, Ken's New Market, and other local businesses.  She was a member of the Tilton United Methodist Church.


She is survived by her two sons, Robert Owens (Melissa) Leet and Anthony Ray (Ceonia) Leet; her four grandchildren, Hannah Raeanne Leet, Heather Dawn (Wilder) Williams, Branson Owens Leet, and Garrett Ray (Ariel) Leet; her two great grandchildren, Kasen Ray Leet and David Michael Williams.    Sonia is also survived by her two siblings, Terry Owens Lytle and Bonnie L. Crawford; her niece Sherri Kay Crawford; her nephews, Keith Owens (Tonya) Lytle and Jeffrey Yates (Lisa) Crawford; along with several great nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.


In addition to her husband Robert and her parents, Sonia was preceded in death by her grandchild, Andrew Skyler Leet.


The graveside service will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Sunnyside Cemetery (Mount Tabor)., with Sister Gail Skaggs officiating.
