PLEASE NOTE:  COURTESY POSTING FOR SUE'S FAMILY

Sue McIntyre, 93, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky.

Born on March 14, 1933, daughter of the late Rollie and Anna Hinton and the oldest of seven children.

Sue devoted 36 years-her entire professional career to caring for others as a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Healthcare until her retirement.

While Sue took great pride in her nursing career, her greatest joy was her family. Affectionately known as “Granny Mac” by her grandchildren and many of their friends. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Sue was an avid reader and had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Carson, whom she lovingly referred to as her “third son.”

She was preceded in death by her parents; four of her siblings, J.B. Hinton, Barbara Staten, Dave Hinton, and Bill Hinton;  her brother-in-law, Jack Staten; and her beloved dog, Casey.

Sue is survived by her two loving sons, Bryan McIntyre and Kevin (Janet) McIntyre; her two grandchildren, Justin (Casey) McIntyre and Jacob McIntyre; two of her siblings, Larry (Alice K.) Hinton and Judi Hinton; her two nieces, Pam Staten and Lisa (Todd) Glascock; her great niece and nephew, Allison (Nathan) Landreth and Brad (Rheanna) Glascock;  her great-great niece, Annie Glascock;  and  her great-great nephew, Jack Landreth.

A visitation will be held at Linnemann Funeral Home, 30 Commonwealth Ave., Erlanger, Ky., on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.
