Susan Kimberly Hamm, 57, of Flemingsburg, passed away Thursday morning September 24, 2015 at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Susan was born in Rowan County on November 23, 1957 to Lena Mae Jones Hamm and the late Lloyd Hamm.

Susan had worked at the US Shoe Corp, Toyo Seat, at the Stockyard Restaurant and as a caregiver. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and of the Christian faith.

Survivors include her mother; son Brandon Hamm; longtime companion Alan Thomas Jones; grandchildren Jasamine, Isaiah, Nickolas, and Braden; siblings Kay Hanshel, Linda (David) Dunaway, Millie Cunningham, Phyllis Beagle, Rose "Mel" Dunn, Lloyd C. (Buddy) Hamm Jr. and James Willis Hamm; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Susan was preceded in death by her father and a brother Rickey Eugene Hamm.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Monday October 5, 2015 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11 - 1 PM Monday at the funeral home.
