Susie Lewis Schwartz, 94, of Flemingsburg, passed away January 24, 2011, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio, after a long Illness. She was the widow of Eugene X. Schwartz.

Mrs. Schwartz had been employed at Flemingsburg Sewing Factory and U.S Shoe. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Born December 18, 1916, in Carter County, she was the daughter of Andrew and Missouri Ratliff Lewis

Surviving are two sons, Eugene (Carolyn) Schwartz of Flemingsburg and Robert (Jacqueline) Schwartz of Nicholasville; four grandchildren, Todd (Stacey) Schwartz of Newnan, GA., Jennifer (Bill) Dozier of Georgetown, Christopher Schwartz of Lexington and Kyle (Angie) Schwartz of Nashville, Tenn.; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Maddox of West Alexandria, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were one sister and five brothers.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday February 1, 2011 at St. Charles Catholic Church by the Rev. Verne F. Hogan celebrant with burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6 - 8 PM Monday with prayers at 5:45 PM at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home.
