Terry A. Hunt, 70, of Ewing passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 2, 1947, in Mason County, he was a son of Frances Jolly Hunt and the late Leo Thomas Hunt, Sr.

Terry was a mechanic at the Fleming County Bus garage for 28 years and even after retiring enjoyed tinkering with vehicles. He loved hunting, fishing, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Terry attended Crain Creek Christian church.

In addition to his mother Frances, he is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Claudia Marie Claypoole Hunt; his daughter, Donna Weaver and husband Bobby; his granddaughters, Brittany Greenhill and husband Seth, Kaitlyn Weaver and Rebekah Weaver; his brothers, Larry Mike Hunt, Tony Hunt and wife Deborah; his cousin/brother, Dale Hunt; special friend, Deb Hunt of Quilcene, WA; and his sister-in-law, Robyn Hunt.

In addition to his father Leo, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leo Thomas Hunt, Jr.; and his nephew, Michael Dale Hunt.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m., Monday, May 1, 2017, Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Brother Darry Cooper and Sister Beulah Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 – 9 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Danny Davenport, Wayne Hunt, Chad Colgan, Darrell Hunt, Richie Gray, and Johnny Wallingford. Honorary pallbearers include Ronnie Fern and Robert Storey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope (909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, Kentucky 41056), Cancer Care Club (P. O. Box 189, Flemingsburg, Kentucky 41041) and/or the charity of one's choice.
