Terry E McKee Jr “Tood”, 58, of Muses Mill, left this world and went to Heaven on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
Born in Flemingsburg on October 25, 1967, Terry was the son of Madeline Conley McKee and the late Terry E McKee Sr.
Terry never met a stranger and making friends came as natural as breathing. His love was genuine. Though our hearts are broken by sadness, we will cherish the years we had with him.
He found happiness in life’s many little things and took pride in being part of the things that mattered to him. Whether sewing, journaling his thoughts, or lending a helping hand to his family on countless projects, he brought his own special spirit to everything he did. He loved his sports, cheering on both the Kentucky Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals, (but if they played against each other, he was All UK!), and enjoyed the excitement of NASCAR and truck racing. He had his own opinions, his own passions, and his own wonderfully unforgettable way of expressing them.
Some people leave a mark on this world simply by being exactly who they are. He was one of those rare and special souls whose kindness, laughter, and larger-than-life personality made life a little brighter for everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Terry is survived by his mother Madeline McKee; his sister, Bithinny McKee; and his brother, Joshua McKee. He is also survived by his two nephews, Travis McKee and Asher McKee; his niece, Athena McKee; his “grandson”, Zeke Jones (Nathan); along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and more friends than can be counted.
He was preceded in death by a loving father, Terry E McKee Sr.; his grandmothers, Raney Conley and Ella McKee; his grandfathers, Joseph McKee Sr and Clyde Conley; his six aunts, Betty Cerna, Ernestine Ingram, Mary Laswell, Iolene McKee, Mary Pendland, and Brenda Conley; and his five uncles, Lee Arrasmith, Joseph McKee Jr, Jimmy Conley, Eddie Conley and Ray Conley.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2026, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Reeves officiating.
Terry will be laid to rest in Big Run Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Alex Pendland, Daryl Thacker, Thomas Ingram, Denny Wilson, Darrin Fawns, Greg Dunaway, Dalton Brown, and Justin Shutt. Honorary pallbearers include Jim and Judy Compton, Richard and Wilma Smalley, Justin Bailey, Pam Bowles, Makayla Brown, Emily Pollock, Bryx Wilson, and his very special friend, Miranda Shutt.
Visitation will be from 11a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Monday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
