Terry Eugene McKee Sr., 81, of Wallingford, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at UK Saint Claire Healthcare in Morehead.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 11, 1943, his father was the late Joseph E. McKee and his mother was the late Ella Augusta Mattox McKee.
Terry was a brick mason and attended the First Church of God in Morehead. He loved classic cars, going to yard sales, traveling, and spending time with his family. He loved church, and really enjoyed making people laugh. His absence will be felt by so many, but especially his family.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Madeline Conley McKee; his three children, Terry McKee Jr. of Muses Mill, Joshua McKee of Emmalena, Ky., and Bithinny McKee of Muses Mill; his grandchild, Travis McKee of Corbin, Ky.; and his two great grandchildren, Asher McKee and Athena McKee. He is also survived by special family friends, Pam Bowles, Makayla Brown, and Jimmy & Judy Compton.
In addition to his father Joe and his mother Ella, Terry was preceded in death by his six siblings, Joe McKee Jr., Mary Laswell, Ilene McKee, Ernistine Ingram, Betty Grace Cerna, and Lee Arrasmith.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Reeves officiating.
Terry will be laid to rest in Big Run Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Denny Wilson, Alex Pendland, Darryl Thacker, Rick Cerna, Rob Cerna, Thomas Ingram, Dalton Brown, and Darrin Fawns. Honorary Pallbearers include Terry Eugene McKee Jr., Jimmy Compton, Richard Smalley, and Johnny Ingram.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Boone-Nickell, located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
