Thelma Lee Butcher Dunaway, 88, of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday morning May 7, 2011 at University of Kentucky Medial Center in Lexington, KY. She was born August 8, 1922 in Fleming County to the late Bascom and Electa Butcher. She was a member of the Crain Creek Christian Church and enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center and being with friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Mefford Dunaway who passed away in August of 2005, a son Donald Eugene Dunaway, and siblings Goble and Woodford Butcher and Opal Conley.

Grandson: Dr. Michael (Lori) Dunaway of Flemingsburg, KY

2 Great Grandsons: Jonathan & Charles Nickolas Dunaway of Flemingsburg, KY

Brothers: Leo and Russie (Lela) Butcher

Sisters: Jessie Basford and Mary (Garr) Manning

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Conley officiating. Burial will follow in Ramey's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Dunaway, Adam Hinton, Nathan Hinton, Robert Faris, Jonathan Dunaway, and Charles Nickolas Dunaway. Honorary pallbearers Jackie Thompson and Larry Henderson.
