Thomas Andrew "Tom" Callahan, Jr., 75, of Foxport, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, at UK Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y. on January 22, 1947, he was the son of the late Thomas Andrew Callahan, Sr., and the late Vivian Opal Ellis Callahan.
Tom worked for Browning's and retired after 35 years of service. He enjoyed being outdoors where he would hunt and fish. He loved spending his free time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Tom was known for his larger than life personality and his ability to never meet a stranger. He attended the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.
Tom is survived by his wife of 13 years, Judy Clark Callahan; his three children, Jennifer Lynn (husband Mark) Selby, Kevin Thomas (wife Teresa) Callahan, and Greta Ann (husband Lester) Hall; his stepdaughter, Melissa Williams; his seven grandchildren, Kyle (wife Brittney) Bjorklund, Dylan (wife Cassie) Bjorklund, Victoria (husband Jacob) Fryman, Curtis Brewer, Kelcie Callahan, Landon Hall, and Maggie Hall; and his five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Bob Callahan; his sister-in-law, Bonnie Callahan; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents Tom and Opal, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret "Peggy" Fearin Callahan; his brother, Joe Callahan; and his sister-in-law, Caroline Callahan.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ with Bro. Dylan Bjorklund and Bro. Tom Mitchell officiating.
Tom will be laid to rest in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Thursday, at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ located at 1669 Pleasant Valley Road in Wallingford, Ky.
