Thomas Henry Holland, 92, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home. He was the widower of Reonn Thomas Holland.
Born in Fleming County on September 4, 1930, Tom was the son of the late Michael Holland and the late Margaret Fay Holland.
Tom worked as a mechanic for the local rock quarry, Montgomery Ward, Litton Ford, Kmart, Bobby Porter Auto Sales, and Caudill Tire. He was a member of the Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Flemingsburg. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, serving stateside during the Korean Conflict.
Tom is survived by his six children, Thomas (Mary Beth) Holland, Jr., Lisa (Randy) Kemp, Andrea (Wayne) Darnell, James Patrick Malone, Arlene (Timmy) Gulley, and Jackie (Dean) Sparks; his 11 grandchildren, Megan Holland, Thomas Holland III, Sara Holland, Christopher Caskey, Crayton Caskey, Marlieda Malin, Jamie (Jean) Malone, Tony Malone, Christa (Timmy) Perkins, Jason Gulley, and Jeremy (Kelli) Sparks; and several great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Reonn and his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his four siblings, Philippina, Michael, Ann, and Rose.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2023, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church by the Rev. Phillip DeVous, celebrant.
Tom will be laid to rest in Saint Patrick Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Thomas Holland III, Chris Caskey, Crayton Caskey, Chaston McFarland, Sara Holland, and Christa Perkins.
Visitation will be 9 a.m., until 10:30 a.m., Friday, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.
